There are a couple spots in town that will undergoing a facelift starting early next week! The Public Works Building and Grounds Team has scheduled the prep work for painting Station 81 (pictured right) to begin on Tuesday, August 12th. This was one of the Capital Improvement Projects that the Council approved with the 2014-15 city budget. The plan is to pressure wash the building on Tuesday and let it dry for a day or two, depending on the weather. It should take about 4 days to complete after that. We'll post an "after" pic once the re-painting has been completed.
On Monday, August 11th, landscape improvements at the Lake St. Pump Station (pictured below) are scheduled to begin. Most of the current plants and trees will be pruned back, with new drought-tolerant plants being added to provide better screening and an overall
better appearance of the Lake St. and Glen Park Way corner. The contractor who will be performing the work, Loral Landscaping, met with the neighbors on Lake St. who got to review the landscaping plan and provide input. An "after" pic will also be added once the landscaping work has been completed.
