Last year was the first year that Brisbane resident Tony Lukezic organized a car show for the community in downtown Brisbane. In its inaugural year, it was successfully attended by nearly 500 spectators over the course of the day. This year, he’s expecting an even greater turnout of cars, so the first two blocks of the odd-numbered side of Visitacion Ave. (side of The 23 Club), the parking lot on the corner of Mariposa & Visitacion, and 13 spots inside the Post Office parking lot will all be reserved, in addition to the two blocks along San Francisco Ave. besides the Community Park up to Mariposa St. where cars were parked last year (see photo). Half of the car show’s proceeds will go towards the Brisbane School District and the other half will go towards the City’s Skatepark Donations Fund. New this year, Tony is adding two jumpy houses which will be set up in the Park, so make it a family day and enjoy your time at the car show!
