Thank you to all the volunteers who joined the Open Space and Ecology Committee, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and San Bruno Mountain Watch in sprucing up Quarry Rd. last Saturday, June 21st. This area is an ecological preserve that serves as important habitat to endangered species. With two Clean-Up Days in 2014, one in Costaños Canyon on April 26th and the second being this one at Quarry Rd., it's apparent that the city and its residents care strongly about the natural environment and proactively work together to ensure it is free of debris and litter. Thank you also to Recology for donating the shirts that were distributed to volunteers at these two clean-up days. Check out all the photos from last week's clean-up by clicking here.
