The City's annual Vegetation/Weed Abatement Management Program of its public property begins Tuesday, May 20, 2014. The contractor, Industrial Park Landscape, has worked in town since 1979 and is very knowledgeable of the areas known for excessive growth of vegetation/weeds, which become fire hazards in the dry months. The contractor will begin work along the railroad spurs in Crocker Industrial Park tomorrow morning and by Friday start working on the fire trail located at the end of Trinity Rd. After Memorial Day weekend, the contractors will work their way down to Kings, Humboldt, and San Mateo Lane. Please note: the contractor is working intermittently in different parts of the city (not necessarily doing Central Brisbane on consecutive days), as access and time permits. This program is being performed in compliance with North County Fire Authority regulations and will be completed by July 3rd.
