Every year, the city recognizes the efforts of the individuals whose work is deemed successful when no one notices it. That's right, the Public Works Dept. knows it is serving the community well when we forget that it actually takes someone's time and effort to ensure that our water, sewer and storm drain systems are properly functioning, that our roadways are safe and driveable, and that our streetlights are illuiminating as they should, just to name a few things the Public Works Dept. oversees. Public Works Director Randy Breault now has oversight of the Marina as well, so employees from both departments were present at Monday's Council meeting to receive a Proclamation from the City Council. Thank you to each of you, who quietly and daily live out the theme of National Public Works Week 2014, "Building for Today, Planning for Tomorrow".
