Community Call for Photos

“Community Call for Photos!”

Did you know?  This year marks the 30th Annual Day in the Park and the 10th Annual Derby. Given the commemorative nature of this year’s event, City Staff is hoping to incorporate a “Walk Down Memory Lane” photo showcase chronicling the history of the event over the past 30 years. But… we need your help! If you have images capturing the spirit of the Day in the Park (originally dubbed the Family Festival) over the past 30 years, we want to share them! We encourage you to either email past photos of the event to or to bring them by the Parks & Recreation office at City Hall before September 9th. The more information you can provide us about your photos (names of those pictured, year photo was taken, etc.) the better! We want to celebrate Brisbane’s traditions by incorporating a nod to the history of the event over the past three decades and we hope you’ll assist us in doing so!

Change in Line-Up for Concerts in the Park

Printer-friendly version

There has been a slight change in the line-up for the upcoming Summer Concerts in the Park. Unfortunately, Rebel Yell will no longer be playing on August 19. Instead, Grammy-nominated zydeco musician, Andre Thierry will be pushed back from August 12 and taking its place. We will also have a food truck available to event-goers on August 19th.  Meanwhile on August 12, we are excited to welcome Country and Western band, Urban Outlaws to Brisbane!

We look forward to watching these talented musicians perform for us under the gazebo @6pm at the Community Park! We hope to see you there!
