Thinking of Going Solar?

Printer-friendly version

At their November 6, 2014 City Council meeting, the Council approved the City being a participating agency of "Peninsula SunShares", a community-wide program designed to make it easier and more affordable for residents to go solar.  This spring (April - June), the City is partnering with neighboring communities including local nonprofit Vote Solar, the program's administrator, to launch a solar group discount program for homeowners.  So, whether you live or work in Brisbane, you'll be eligible to receive these discounts.

Peninsula SunShares will pool the power of individual homeowner participants, which allows the solar industry to offer more competitive pricing, typically 20-25% below market rate. If the program reaches certain participation targets, Peninsula Sunshares will also offer additional rebates for increased savings to homeowners.
