Printer-friendly version

This past Monday, June 2, the City Council began their first of 3 budget workshops (the next ones take place June 9 and June 11) before a proposed 2014-15 budget is adopted (anticipated June 19, 2014).  The fiscal year for the city runs from July 1st to June 30th, and in this past year, the Council has seen a fair number of accomplishments.  These accomplishments were mentioned as part of the Administrative Service Director's budget presentation and are as follows:

  • Request For Proposals (RFP) for Skateboard Park Design
  • Draft EIR for Baylands Completed
  • Developed Action Plan for Sustainability Plan for Baylands
  • Completed Fire Station Repairs
  • Approved Financing Plan for Water and Sewer Projects
  • Completed Urban Land Institute (ULI) Charette for Crocker Industrial Park
  • Approved Business License for Liquid Storage Facilities
  • Upgraded Technology for Police Department
  • Approved Memoradum Of Agreement (MOA) for Baylands Dirt Storage
  • Bought Additional Open Space in Brisbane Acres

Over the next few weeks, these topics will be covered in more detail.  You'll also be able to read more about them in the Citynews publication, starting with the July CityNews & STAR, which covers the RFP for Skateboard Park Design and an update on the Baylands EIR process.
