Important Fire Flow Improvements to Brisbane’s Water Infrastructure Planned for 2018

The City plans to start construction on the Annis Road PRV Station and Fire Main Replacement Project in the spring of 2018.  This project will provide much-needed improvements to our City’s aging drinking water infrastructure and will include the replacement of approximately 6,650 linear feet of 6-inch water main with 8- and 10-inch pipe along portions of:

Thomas Avenue, Annis Road, Harold Road, Humboldt Road, Sierra Point Road, Kings Road, Margaret Road and Paul Avenue.

The project is expected to last 9 months and will present some unavoidable impacts to the neighborhoods in and around the construction area.
Here is a link to a map that shows the Water Mains, Hydrants, and Services that will be installed/replaced.

THE CITY HAS SCHEDULED TWO NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING TO DISCUSS THE UPCOMING PROJECT:

NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING #1: Meeting Presentation
October 14th from 9:00-11:00 AM at FIRTH PARK

NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING #2:
October 28th from 9:00-11:00 AM at FIRTH PARK

If you live on one of the streets scheduled for construction, please plan to attend one of these meetings.  We are excited to share with you the details of this critical work and listen to your questions and concerns so we can work to minimize the impacts to your neighborhood as best we can.
