Farmers' Market

Printer-friendly version

Given the upcoming holidays, extremely cold weather and inability to see their produce once the sun goes down, the vendors have requested that the market take a break until January 9th.  On that day, the market will switch to their "winter hours", or 2pm - 6pm.  When Daylight Savings Time starts in March, they will resume their regular, "summer hours" of 3pm - 7pm (3/13).  At that time, Crepe and Brioche will be returning (for all that have missed their artisan breads, cakes, and croissants the past couple of weeks!), as well as Tantalizing Toffee (since all of her holiday orders will have been filled).  Thank you for your continued support of the market - it's what allows the market to be year-round.  That, and the vendors still love coming to Brisbane and the loyal customers they serve.  Happy Holidays!

Sediment Control Work

Printer-friendly version

On Thursday, December 5, a contractor will be placing plastic, held in place with sandbags, on the slope along San Bruno Avenue (west of Gladys Avenue) as a temporary sediment and erosion control measure before this season's rains (a photo of a similar repair can be seen to the right).  The area has recently shown signs of erosion, and the measure is meant to prevent a slope failure.  On Thursday, the uphill lane of traffic will be closed during the work, but the contractor will be on-site with flagman to allow traffic through the work area one direction at a time.  Minor delays can be expected, and we appreciate your cooperation as this necessary work is performed.  If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at (415) 508-2130.
