The City's landscape maintenance contractor for the Dog Park, Loral Landscaping, will reseed the Dog Park in two segments, beginning on Monday, September 23. The westerly half, including that entrance, will be closed off and reseeded first, and will remain closed for three to four weeks to allow the new grass to fill in. After the west side is completed, the contractor will close off the easterly half, including the main entrance, and apply new seed, also allowing three to four weeks for the new grass to establish itself. Your patience is appreciated during this important lawn maintenance work.

Dear Brisbane Residents,
Last week, there were two cases of thieves dressing up as utility workers to gain access to Bay Area homes. I wanted to take the opportunity to write to you this week with information regarding the burglaries in Oakland and San Carlos in an effort to share information and awareness.
In each case, a person dressed as a utility worker gained access to the customer’s backyard, while a second person entered the home and stole money, coins and/or jewelry. Thankfully, nobody was injured in either case. Investigations are ongoing, and PG&E is working in full cooperation with local law enforcement. In addition to reaching out to you, PG&E is reaching out to local media to educate our customers.
Here is some important information you should know:
- PG&E customers should always ask to see valid identification before allowing anyone claiming to be a PG&E representative inside their home. PG&E employees always carry their identification and are always willing to show it to you.
- If a person claiming to be a PG&E employee has identification and someone still feels uncomfortable, they should call PG&E’s customer service line at 1-800-PGE-5000 to verify an appointment and/or PG&E’s presence in the community.
- Customers who have an appointment with PG&E will receive an automated call back within 48 hours prior to a scheduled visit, or they will receive a personal call from a PG&E gas service representative prior to a scheduled visit.
- Finally, customers with concerns about the legitimacy of a call they receive about a past due bill, a service request or a request for personal information are encouraged to call PG&E at 1-800-PGE-5000.
I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any questions about this or any other suspicious PG&E-related issues, please do not hesitate to contact the Brisbane Police Department at 415-467-1212.

Brisbane Library Hours of Operation Announcement
San Mateo County Library is pleased to announce new operating hours for the Brisbane Library.
Input from the community has been a critical part of the decision making process and we thank everyone who participated in providing feedback. In reviewing the results of the May 2013 Brisbane Library Open Hours Community Survey, 69% of survey respondents indicated they would use the library more if the library were open different hours and 70% of survey respondents preferred that the changed hours include additional morning weekday and weekend hours.
After assessing the May 2013 Brisbane Library Open Hours Community Survey, collecting and reviewing current Brisbane library usage patterns, and analyzing open hours of neighboring libraries, we have been able to approve updated library open hours.
New Hours for the Brisbane Library
The new hours will go into effect after the Labor Day Holiday on Tuesday, 3 September 2013 and include 7 new hours of morning service. We look forward to welcoming even more of the community, more frequently, in September. Please contact Carine Risley, Brisbane Library Manager, for additional information. email@example.com or 415.467.2060
