National Public Works Week

"Because of Public Works..." is this year's theme for National Public Works Week.  The American Public Works Association selected it because it is about the quality of life brought to communities around the world.  We are able to have clean water, safe streets and neighborhoods, efficient traffic, and safe clean communities "Because of Public Works..."

This past Monday, the City Council recognized the Public Works Department for their outstanding service to the community, which oftentimes goes unnoticed (a telling sign they're doing a great job!).  All but four members of the Public Works Dept. were present, where the Council and Randy Breault, Director of Public Works, commended the team for the services performed for this community and maintaining the city's fundamental infrastructure.

Utility Team Leader Keegan Black and Non-Utility Interim Team Leader Joe Friars proudly accepted the signed Proclamation from Mayor Miller.

Don't wait until May 19 - 25 to say Thank You for the excellent service you're receiving from the Public Works Dept...take a moment to thank them today!
