Free Cinco de Mayo Event

Join members of the Open Space & Ecology Committee, Councilmembers, representatives from Recology, and staff for this special Cinco de Mayo event.  From 3:30pm - 5:30pm this Sunday, a public screening of the 27-minute KRON-4 groundbreaking environmental documentary from 1965 featuring Brisbane's garbage dump, titled "No Deposit, No Return", will be shown in the Community Meeting Room.

Following the short film will be a presentation by Recology on their current recycling efforts and the future of Waste Zero.

See 17 minutes of rare, historic interview footage of three of Brisbane's first City Council Members: Ernie Conway, Jess Salmon, and Jim "Red" Williams, shot in 1996 as part of Brisbane's 35th Anniversary Celebration.

"Cinco de Mayo Cinematheque" refreshments will be served!  Come and enjoy this fun and free community event!
