NEWS RELEASE

Incident Date and Time- 9/2/2015 at 2205 hours

Distribution- Original Report, All Police, City Council, City Manager

Location- 70 Old County Rd, Bank of America

Type of Crimes/Incident: Bank Burglary

On Wednesday September 2nd at 2205 hours, Brisbane Officers were called to the Bank of America at 70 Old County Rd for a power outage failure alarm call and ATM alarm. Officers conducted an exterior building check and found nothing suspicious. The on duty Sergeant contacted Bank of America Corporate Security who advised police that they would handle the alarm and Brisbane Police were clear to leave the scene.

Corporate Security Advised bank employees to contact Brisbane Police on September 3, 2015 for a “Walk Through” prior to opening the bank. Brisbane Police Officers arrived on scene at 0916 hours, and conducted a search of the bank and determined the bank had been burglarized. Upon further investigation it was determined the unknown suspect(s) entered through a fenced in area where another door is located. This is the employee break room area and the electrical panel is also located in this area.

The unknown suspect(s) entered the bank and attempted to open a medium sized safe but were unsuccessful. They also made entry into the locked ATM room by climbing through the drop ceiling but were again unsuccessful in accessing the interior of the safe.

The San Mateo County Forensics Crime Lab is assisting the Brisbane Police in processing and gathering evidence from the scene of this incident. The Brisbane Police Department is working jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) on this investigation.

There is very little suspect information at this time. Anybody with any information is encouraged to contact the Brisbane Police Department at 415-467-1212.

Baylands Survey

Printer-friendly version

The City has consistently sought the community’s input in the Baylands planning process and we are asking for your assistance once again.  On or about August 25, 2015 a survey to gauge community opinions and attitudes on a number of issues pertaining to the Baylands will be mailed to all registered voters in Brisbane.  Please watch your mail for a survey packet from "Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin and Metz", the independent firm hired by the City to prepare and administer the survey.  The deadline to complete and return the survey is September 12, 2015. All responses must be postmarked by that date.

With Planning Commission hearings on the Baylands scheduled to start in September and extend into November, the survey results will be an important factor in the City’s decision-making process for the Baylands.

Make your voice heard - the City values your opinion! Thanks for your interest and participation.
